A Little About MeHello! First of all, welcome to RPan Photography and thank you for taking the time out to see the website. I wanted to introduce myself and a little more about me than just the About Me page.
My name is Rahim Panjwani and I'm a photographer based out of Cincinnati, Ohio. I originally started photography as a hobby, as an outlet in mid-2018 and it has rapidly become my favorite activity and past time. During the day, I can be found at GE Aviation working as an engineer there, but outside of work, I am often found taking photos, editing photos, or doing something else technology/aviation related. I've been passionate about aerospace since I was a little child and photography has helped me capture that interest in a new way. A pilot's license and continual flying is very expensive over time so this has been my way of staying connected. Photography has really become a way of seeing things around me in a different light - a new perspective. When I was younger, I was always told that I took horrible photos and that discouraged me to never pick up a camera. Last year, something ignited that interest and I decided to buy my first DSLR, a Nikon D5600 with the 2 kit lenses thinking that that would be all I would need. It has definitely exploded since then with me having bought some big telephoto lenses as well as prime lenses for various styles of photography from portraits to aviation. I constantly look up tutorials, read photography articles, and watch Youtube videos to learn better techniques and improve my craft. I didn't think I would be so invested in this but it's become one of my biggest creative outlets - something I did not realize I was missing in my life. Even going through past photos pre-DSLR to now, I can see a huge improvement and it's even more apparent over the last year as I've been taking more and more photos. You can see the progression below from 2016 to 2019 (note the difference in equipment from 2017 to 2018). What I consider to be a good picture drastically changes over time in both lighting and composition!
